The Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity Episcopal Build will begin on Saturday, February 20, 2016 when volunteers from all the sponsor churches will dig the footings for the new home. It will be located at 1551 Liverpool St. in the Love Grove community (N. 11 St.) and will be home to the Wooten family.
Go to http://www.capefearhabitat.org/episcopal-build/ for more information.
Instead of each church being assigned a particular Saturday workday, a volunteer sign up website has been created so people can choose which day(s) they would like to work. This enables everyone to work and interact with people from the different churches. To sign up, go to http://episcopalbuild.capefearhabitat.volunteerhub.com/ to register (more information on how to register is on the Cape Fear Habitat web site at the address above under the Volunteer Hub Guide tab). After creating your user name and password you will be asked to enter a Join Code which is EpiscopalBuild2016; then indicate that you are a new user. You will be asked to complete some questions, when submitted a verification email will be sent to your email address; once verified you will be able to log in and select your work day(s). If you have problems with the volunteer hub, contact Volunteer Coordinator, or 910-762-4744 x105. If you are unable to volunteer, but want to support the build with a donation, indicate on your check to Holy Cross it is for the Habitat Episcopal Build.
Each church has been assigned one Saturday work day to provide lunch; Holy Cross’s lunch date will be April 16th , serving approximately 20 volunteers. As we get closer to the April date, a sign up sheet will be posted at Holy Cross if you want to help prepare and serve lunch.
