Holy Cross 
FINALLY, after weeks of planning, the date for our wine tasting is here!! Mark your calendar for February 5th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for the event. The proceeds will go toward our priest fund. As Fr. Jerry would be quick to tell you – “It’s not for me!" Eventually (and realistically), Holy Cross is going to call a full-time priest. Currently there are no funds for this, so you might say this is “our maiden voyage” in an attempt to begin working toward that goal. Quite a number of donations have been made during the past three Sundays, plus you will be able to make a donation (which is $20 per person)) at the door on the 5th.
Eight wines will be sampled, and heavy hors d’ oeuvres will be provided by our wonderful Holy Cross cooks. Decorations for the evening are the genius of a very talented member. Also, raffle tickets will be sold for two bottles of expensive wine. At the end of the evening, if there is wine left from the tastings, and there is a wine you particularly like, you might want to purchase a bottle for $20 (remember folks, this is a fund raiser as you gasp at the price!). Last but not least, the wine sampling glasses are for sale for $5 each – great mementos to carry home from an evening of fun and fellowship! We look forward to your participation in this first-time endeavor at Holy Cross!
