Summer Sunday School

Summer Sunday School Parent Information Each Sunday this summer we will have a special Sunday School program for our children in who are rising K-5th grade. We will be learning about the wonders of God’s creation with a focus on water. Weather permitting we will be spending part of each program outside in the woods (aka St. Francis Way). They say that good things take time, but I've learned that really great things happen in a blink of an eye.  My Epic Waves class is often filled with discussion on topics that touch the hearts of our young people.  One such Sunday we were discussing Luke 16:19-21 which deals with the rich man and Lazarus.  If you haven't heard Fr. Children's Ministries Partners with Outreach to Help Flood Victims

Holy Cross Children's Ministries has partnered with Outreach to help the flood victims of Hurricane Matthew. Flooding in North Carolina from Hurricane Matthew has caused $1.5 billion in damage to 100,000 homes, businesses and government buildings, authorities estimate. The figure is likely to be far greater, considering the estimate does not take into account the cost of repairing damaged roads and bridges or the value of belongings inside damaged buildings.  At least 26 people have died in Nort…

Be the Light - Scare Away Hunger

On October 30th more than 200 kids from churches that support the Help Hub gathered together to put a new spin on the Halloween tradition of "Trick-or-Treating".  Earlier in the week residence of Wrightsville Beach received brown paper grocery bags with a letter asking for non-perishable food donations.  The letter further explained that our youth would be collecting those bags on the following Sunday.  Instead of collecting candy this Halloween, our young people collected bags of donations.  We…
