Children's Ministries Partners with Outreach to Help Flood Victims

Holy Cross Children's Ministries has partnered with Outreach to help the flood victims of Hurricane Matthew. Flooding in North Carolina from Hurricane Matthew has caused $1.5 billion in damage to 100,000 homes, businesses and government buildings, authorities estimate. The figure is likely to be far greater, considering the estimate does not take into account the cost of repairing damaged roads and bridges or the value of belongings inside damaged buildings.  At least 26 people have died in North Carolina alone from the impacts left behind by Hurricane Matthew.   In order to help, our program created 50 hygiene kits that contained wash cloths, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste.  Outreach will use these kits in their efforts to help comfort those in need.  We are so thankful to all of the children who worked to create these kits with hands of love and compassion for others.  A special thanks to Dora, Ro and all of those in Outreach for helping to make this possible.
