Two Super/Souper Celebrations Coming Up!

Your vestry invites you – ALL the people of Holy Cross! – to join in two Friday night celebrations in October.

Get out your October calendars, and a bright highlighter and mark in these two Friday nights:

October 20 -  6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Souper Celebration…dinner and fellowship!

October 27 -  6:30 – 8:30  Celebration of New Ministry for Chana, and reception with Bishop!

Souper Celebration - Oct. 20

We want to thank you for all you do to make Holy Cross click, to make us a church family.  We have a tradition of being a lay-led church, and now with Chana as our first full-time priest, Holy Cross continues to thrive because of all you give – from lay-reading to cutting grass to teaching our children to cooking to ushering to playing in the band...and more!

We will provide 10 different soups/chilis, salad, bread, and beverage (including wine).  Just bring yourselves and enjoy time to talk with friends.  Then we'll have a short program:

* Trevor Hursthouse will update us all on some new features on the Holy Cross website - we've decided to get on board with online giving options (giving via debit, credit, or automatic withdrawal) and making it easy for folks to make your pledge or contribute to Holy Cross online, just as you do for your many other bills.  This will not be mandatory, of course, but optional.

*  Vestry election and Diocesan Conference election dates and deadlines will be discussed.

* We'll have a Q and A on "what's happening at Holy Cross...your chance to ask burning questions!

Celebration of New Ministry - October 27

OK ya'll...this is the Even Bigger Deal!

We're excited that Bishop Skirving is coming to join us for a special service to celebrate Chana Tetzlaff  joining us as our Priest-in-Charge!

Other priests and friends in the area are being invited...please bring a friend(s) to join us for this joyous service.

We'll have a reception following, and so of course we are inviting all of you to bring a dish to share.

Please sign up in the Gathering Area and let us know what you'll be bringing.  Exciting times!

Wishing you God's peace and joy in this exciting October...
