Holy Cross Outreach committee is excited to share with you that Buza got a job! Buza and her four children arrived in Wilmington from the Democratic Republic of Congo on February 4, and they have made amazing strides since arriving. Three of the children are in school, and doing well from all reports. Buza has gotten a housekeeping job, and she has been working weekends, but now that the youngest girl, Zawadi, is able to be picked up by a daycare van, she will be able to work some weekdays as well.
Outreach committee members are tutoring the kids after school 3 days a week, taking the family to some appointments and church, and helping the family become comfortable with grocery shopping, and getting the kids to school events.
The picture shows Carolyn Moore with Joy, George, Morisi, and Zawadi at Wrightsville Beach during Spring Break.
Two or three outreach members go in teams to tutor on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. If you would like to get involved with working with the children, please let Beth Carter know at : firstname.lastname@example.org.
