Bishop Curry Installation Ceremony

Michael Curry was installed as the 27th Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church on November 1st, 2015 at the Washington National Cathedral.  Over 20 Holy Cross members gathered together for a luncheon to watch and celebrate the Installation.  A special thank you to Bonnie and Scott Yeaky for providing pizza!   Curry, 62, succeeds Katharine Jefferts Schori, who was the first woman in the job and is ending her nine-year term. Youth & Family

The Brinner Club Youth & Family held our first Brinner Club (It's breakfast for dinner) on October 17th.  This was a great time for our families break bread, have fun and participate in worship.  We had a wonderful meal provided by the Smith family, Jonathan and Alexandra led programming for the youth and Andy led a discussion for the adults based on the Nooma Video series.   Our next Brinner Club will be on November 7th!  Look for the invitation soon. Happening #66

The Happening Experience Happening #66 was truly an inspired experience.  If you haven't heard much about Happening it's not because it is a secret, but rather a surprise for the participants who attend. It lasts for a weekend and is geared towards high school students, however adults can attend if they are invited by a young person.
