Daughters of the King

Daughters of the King completed a training session with three new daughters-elect who will be installed with a new slate of officers at the August 23rd 10:15 a.m. service. We anticipate that the Eastern NC Diocese DOK President, Kay Roberts, will be joining us for this service. The Chapter will be requesting the loose change on the 23rd to support the Carousel Center Wish List in honor of our new members. Update from Outreach - LINC

Dear Holy Cross family, This month Dora and I visited LINC (Leading into New Communities), a transitional living facility for individuals who have recently been released from prison. Reflections from Ed Dunlap

Two things I remember from my confirmation class 61 years ago is the General Thanksgiving as found in the 1928 Book of Common Prayer and the definition of a sacrament. As I learned that definition, “a sacrament is an outward and visible sign of an inward spiritual grace, given by Christ as sure and certain means by which we receive that grace.” Those sacraments are Holy Baptism and Holy Eucharist.
