Season's Greetings from Anne

Embracing the Light of the Season: A Festive Reflection from Anne's Home to Yours

Rev. Anne Abdy

Season's Greetings from Anne

Dear Friends,

As the festive season embraces us with its warmth and sparkle, I'm delighted to share with you a little glimpse of our Christmas preparations. Stacy and I have been joyfully adorning our home, embracing the spirit of the season. Our journey has been gradual, matching the ebb and flow of our energy, but each step has been a step filled with joy.

Our Festive Home:

  • A Welcoming Wreath: Our front door now boasts a beautiful wreath, welcoming all who pass by.

  • The Christmas Tree: It stands proudly, draped in twinkling lights, becoming a beacon of holiday cheer in our living room.

  • Scattered Decorations: Bits and bobs of festive decor are sprinkled around, each adding its own touch of magic and joy.

In these moments of decoration and reflection, I find myself reconnected with the true essence of Christmas. In the dimly lit corners of our dining room, the glow of the Christmas tree lights shines brilliantly, reminding me of the deeper meaning of this holiday.

I often catch myself in contemplation, whispering, “That’s Christmas. The Christ Child is to be born. Soon, soon.”

\oetic Reflection: To further share the spirit of this beautiful season, I'd like to leave you with a heartwarming poem I came across on the Facebook page of Spirit 92.9 from Saint Cloud, Minnesota:

When you look for me at Christmas,

You won’t need a special star.

I’m no longer just in Bethlehem,

I’m right here where you are.

You may not be aware of me

Amid the celebrations.

You’ll have to look beyond the stores,

And all the decorations.

But if you take a moment

From your list of things to do.

To close your eyes and say a prayer,

I’m waiting here for you.

You’re the one I want to be with,

You’re the reason that I came!

And you’ll find me in the stillness

Where I’m whispering your name.

Wishing You a Blessed Christmas Season!

With Warm Regards and Blessings,
