Hospice Center Volunteers - One Chapter in the Story of Holy Cross

Did you know that Holy Cross supplies luncheon for friends and families of Hospice patients the last Wednesday of each month? There is no greater love in action than just being there for the family and friends who are serving their loved ones as they are dying or critically ill. Every moment is precious. That is why Holy Cross, along with other churches in Wilmington, Myrtle Grove, and surrounding areas put together one lunch a month - to nourish hospice families and give them strength, to let them know they are cared for and supported, to provide another few minutes to spend with their loved ones.

The experience of participating in a hospice, and with hospice families and friends, is a joy-filled experience. You might think it would be a sad experience or too difficult for you to deal with. However, if you carry these words in your heart, "Love is spoken Here," you will discover that hospice is one place where we can put those words into action. A place that gives new meaning to a simple phrase. And that simple phrase becomes part of the story of our church through our outreach in the community.
